Dr. Qian Zhong serves as a full-time First Violinist with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and as a regular substitute violinist with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Qian Zhong serves as a full-time First Violinist with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and as a regular substitute violinist with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra. She also serves as an adjunct professor of violin at Frostburg State University. Prior to joining the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, she was a regular substitute violinist with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, a first-section violinist with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra in China, and a first-section violinist with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Qian Zhong holds a Doctor of Music degree from the University of Maryland and a Master of Music degree and Performance Diploma from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University.
